Owner of Today’s Vision, Tyler and Tyler Vision Therapy
Dr. Neshia Rudd is an Optometrist and Vision Therapist practicing in Tyler, TX. She has a passion for for helping people see clearly and enjoys catching hard to find vision problems. She graduated in 1998 and has been a practicing eye doctor since. As a native of East Texas, she practiced at DeHaven Eye Clinic before opening her own practice, Today’s Vision and Tyler Vision Therapy.
Dr. Rudd received numerous leadership and service awards while in school, including the Robert William Zipper Memorial Leadership Award. This award was presented to Dr. Rudd for demonstrating leadership skills, compassion for patients, and a dedication to the profession of eye care. Dr. Rudd also completed internships at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Amarillo, TX.
Dr. Rudd is an active member of the Tyler Community and a leader in Bible Study Fellowship and at Grace Community Church. She is also an active member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, Beta Sigma Kappa, American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association and the Better Business Bureau. In her free time, Dr. Rudd enjoys spending time with her friends and family, exercising, gourmet cooking, and fly-fishing.
Office Manager and Vision Therapy Administrator
Melissa Black has been in eye care since 2005, when she graduated from Austin Community College. Her first position in eye care was with an optometrist in Austin. She soon moved to Tyler, TX to pursue a teaching certificate, but hit it off with Dr. Neshia Rudd and started working at Today’s Vision in 2007. During her time there, she was promoted to Office Manager. While working with Dr. Rudd, Melissa realized she had a great passion for helping children who were struggling in school because of eye problems. That passion led her to complete Vision Therapy School in 2015. She is now Tyler Vision Therapy’s Vision Therapy Administrator.
